FAHRENHEIT LIVE IN BERASTAGI, MEDAN

Venue: Mikie Holiday Resort’s Star Theatre

Toro (the writer), nenek (fellow fangirls) and sley (our host in Medan)

Day 1: 30 March 2007 (welcome)
Toro and nenek arrived in Polonia Airport around 1pm in the afternoon. After all the chaos finding my suitcase and a proper taxi, we zoomed through Medan to arrive in the Hotel (which was only 7 minutes away from the airport). Checked my cellular phone, got an SMS from sley saying that FRH arriving from KL using MAS at 245pm. WTF??? Rushing thru the designated room, dumped our stuff, and apparently had to switch to another room (due some key problems), then we headed off again back to the Airport. (thankfully hotel- airport was like only 5 minutes!!). Arrived back at the airport around 2pm, we stood in front of the International departure, which was a very small door, and you can look thru the glass windows (although it’s kinda tinted). There were probably 10 fans waiting around (incl me and nenek). Airport is so small compared to Jakarta’s Soekarno Hatta. One thing for sure, there wasn’t any monitor that said when the planed had landed or not. So yeah, around 2.55pm, the lil door opened wide, and a girl screamed: WU ZUNNN!! Enuf said (pulled out our cameras). First one to came out was Da Dong (wearing a big sunglass, green hat and greed adidas bag), followed by Ya Lun (this one went by un notice, maybe because he was kinda small?), next one was Chen Yi Ru. I was transfixed looking at him with his black sleeveless shirt, so tall and so pale skinned. Another scream of Wu Zun, snapped me back to reality, that I need to look at Wu Zun (not Yi Ru). VOILA Wu Zun was the last to come out, wearing a hat and maroon colored jacket. They were rushed out with minimal security. Nenek and I ran chasing them. I got close to Wu Zun when he was kinda left behind ambushed by the fans. Some fans gave out something to Wu Zun (I think). There were a Mikie Holiday bus waiting to carry them from the airport. They entered the bus (Chun was the last one to enter). We waved, they waved back. Wu Zun sat the last row of the bus, he took out his camera phone and took some pictures (the result was a picture of toro and nenek on Wu Zun’s blogà under the Indonesia Folder). After encountering FRH boys up and close, we just couldn’t wait till tommorow. YIPII! Later in the afternoon sley joined us, and we started yapping around how handsome they are and how Yi Ru was so tall and white *sigh*. Went to bed a bit late but as happy fangirls. Didn’t get too much sleep since had to wake up pretty early in the morning.

Day 2: 31 March 2007 (pre concert)

The hotel we were staying was within walking distance to the Mikie Holiday’s office. We got there around 715am (fracking early for me!!!). Left the office to Berastagi around 730am in morning. There were 3 to 4 bus full of girls. The journey took about 1,5 hr to 2 hr. Thankfully there weren’t any traffic at all. We reached Mikie Holiday around 945am. The lobby was different than 4 years ago (when I was there for Lee Wei), it was newly renovated with minimalist style. Anyway, first stop was the bathroom of course. Then we moved on the Star Theatre, there were already lots of fans miling around there. Since the show won’t start until 4pm. So we entered the Funland, and sat in one of the cafetaria. Practically doing nothing besides talking to each other and some new friends we just met. Had lunch, then came the big downpour of rain. We got information that FRH will do dance rehearsal at 1pm. So after the rain changed to light drizzles, we went back to in front of the Star Theatres. Found out that from that vantage point, we directly looked at the terrace of their rooms *gagaga* Apparently earlies, Chun went to the terrace to wave and came back inside. So around 1230ish maybe, Chun went out again (with black tank top, definitely could see his tatto from afar!!!), made a gesture that they were going to eat (I couldn’t see, but nenek saw it). Then Yalun and Da Dong also came out, to move to the adjacent room. From that point, they always going back and forth from one room to another which meant FRH sightings for the fans (sometimes they waved to the fans). Around 1pm, they came out from the room, with bodyguards holding the umbrellas (it was still drizzling), and walked toward us to the Star Theatre. I saw Ya Lun wearing a grey stripped T-shirt walked at the front with his shy smile, followed by (didn’t remember the correct order) Yi Ru, Chun and Da Dong. Once they were since, we totally could hear them singing the songs. They only practices Wo You Wo De Young, Zhi Dui Ni You Gan Jue and Chao Xi Huan Ni. The rehearsal only lasted about 30 minutes or so. At this point, the fans were already lining up in front of the entrance. While me just stood around near the lil backstage door (since my feet hurt, and too lazy to squeeze with other fans). So the fans were busying themselves with lining up (plus the security was trying to put them in a nice orderly rows of 3). Suddenly I noticed there were a couple of security blocking that backstage door (this was the door that was entered earlier by the FRH boys), then somebody opened the door,and right there I saw Yi Ru sitting in a little couch!!! I was like calling nenek and sley to get ready, since other fans were crowding the theatre’s entrance. So, 5 min after that, they came out from that door, right in front of me, Yalun was the first to come out and Chun was the last one, while exiting the door and walking down the steps, he looked left and right to the fans, and mouthed “ thank yous” *faint*

Day 2: 31 March 2007 (the concert)

After that, we just lounging around the entrance but not really getting in line to get it. When they opened the door, we decided to wait until FRH walked back from their room to the theatre again, but finally decided to get it. We got a good spot standing in front of the stage (very up close). We got treated by some local performances, which was kinda wuliao, since it was a waste of time for me (sorry to be so mean, but I flew in from Jakarta just to see FRH, don’t wast my money!). FRH showed up after 45 minutes watching the so called opening show and movie skits. First song they sang was Wo You Wo De Young. They came thru the hydrolic lift on the upper stage, then came down to the main stage to do the dance routine and singing. From left to right: Yi Ru, Ya Lun, Da Dong and Wu Zun. Everyone so handsome in their white gold suits *faint*, after singing that song, the MCs came out to greet everyone and did a chit chat with FRH. They introduced themselves (I was pretty much only paid attention to Chun), then Chun said hello in Malay after asking the rest of the members, what did they want to say the fans. Basically Chun said: Hallo Apa kabar semua? Saya senang datang ke sini (Hello everyone, I am happy to come here). First time hearing Chun talking in Malay (since Brunei’s language is Malay, so I am kinda curious to how is his Bahasa/ Malay).









They sang Xia Xue, Zhi Dui Ni You Gan Jue, Ai Dao, Zhao Xing Fu Gei Ni and Chao Xi Huan Ni for their encore performance. They also played a game with the fans, it was the hai dai hai dai games (remember on Hanakimi 1st episode, when Rui Xi came rushing to introduce herself, that 2 goofy guys were playing that game!). Each of the member picked out one fans who can guess what FRH songs were splaying (after they scrambled it). The last one to choose was Chun, then the fans said the title of the song. The MC asked wu chun: da dui le ma? (is it correct), then chun replied: wo ye bu zhi dao *gubraks* (I don’t know). Everyone laughed, chun said: ying wei ting bu jing ju la *hearts*. Anyway so each member played the Hai Dai game with the fans that they picked. The first one to played was Da Dong, and he lost on purpose. The expression he made when he said: wo shu le, was so cute!!!!!!! Gargh! Da Dong in person was actually 100% Huang Jin You Jiao Jin Xiu YI!!!!!!!!! When Ya Lun played with his fans, Chun came and tickled his waist *kawaii* They were all playfull during the game. The winner was a Singaporean Fans. She got a personal pictures with Fahrenheit. And FRH sang Zhi Dui Ni You Gan Jue for her *jealous x 10000*



The concert itself only lasted 30-45 minutes only, but it was worth every money I’ve paid. I could see them up close and personal, that was the important thing. I just wished they could sing more songs (since last time Lee Wei’s concert lasted more than 1 hr, and he sang all 10+ songs). Maybe if FRH is coming to Singapore for a full blown concert, I will definitely go! (but maybe after releaseing 2nd album and more, can’t have a big concert with only 11 songs right? >__< ) After the concert, we went back to the lobby to get into the bus that took us back to Medan. Arrived back in the hotel around 830, then planned to go to the airport tommorow to see them one last time. They were scheduled to live Medan at 945 using Malaysian Airlines.


Day 3: 01 April 2007 (bye bye)

Woke up really early in the morning, then checking out from the Hotel. This time sley picked us up and went straight to the airport. We arrived there around 8am. There weren’t any fans out there, but later they were coming in groups or pairs. When we go there, the overseas fans just arrived at the airport to go back home to their respective countries (Singapore, HK, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Japan). After a while, we could see there were many fans who were eager waiting for FRH (more people than when FRH arrived in Medan). Then we saw some staffs from Mikie Holiday was holding a bunch of passports with boarding passes slipped inside each passport. We saw one red passport with some arabic writings, definitely Chuns, since he’s the only one from Brunei >_<. Around 830ish, a big black toyota land cruiser appeared, suddenly the fans were running toward the card and screaming. Apparently FALSE ALARMS. I still stood at my spot right at the door. Suddenly directly in my line of vision, there was an Toyota Alphard stopping, and the door slide open. VOILA, there was Chun looking sideways taking pictures with his cellular, then nenek screamed: THAT”S WU ZUN!!!




..chaos erupted, everyone ran towards the car, they still stayed inside, but the door was slide open, after 2-3 minutes they came out from the car one by one, with security on either sides. Everyone was wearng the same outfit with the ones they wore when they arrived in Medan on Friday. Yalun was holding this giant teady bear, and his hood was up. He had a sleepy look. They passed right in front of me, Da Dong stopped and turned around to take pictures. * a bit blurry, since toro was pretty nervous when snapping these pics, apparently the camera is sensitive! HEKS** da dong da dong.....ni pai shen me zhao ne?*Then they entered the building, but Chun still waved and took pictures from inside. Then out of nowhere a friend of Sley’s met an auntie she knew, begged her to get us inside. So yes, we went inside after slapping the security with some money (this is Indonesia, where you can do the “salam tempel”). Unfortunately we were too late, they were already pass immigration checkpoint and moved to the boarding area. Kinda Sad, when suddenly there was this guy who approached nenek asking whether we wanted to see them or not? No need to get into detail here, we slapped more money again, and one office escorted us up to the boarding area. When we got there, FRH was sitting near the gate, and there were quite a few fans crowding them taking pictures and recording. Apparently all the fans that came from Mainland were in the same plane with them (how lucky). But yeah, looking at them, probably 100cm in front of me, was like heaven. Calvin was pretty quiet, he was looking down at his shoes. Yalun was holding his giang teddy bear and his hood was still on. At one point, he took out his lenses, and pulled down his hood, spoke quietly with Da Dong who was sitting on his right side. Chun was 3-4 seats away from Da Dong, he was more open, smiling around at the fans, and posing for pictures now and then. He of course also took pictures of his fans with his cell phone. Until around 930, they finally stood up to walk to enter the gate. I was standing by the gate waving bye bye, Yi Ru was the 1st one to walked pass me waving, then followed by Yalun, then Da Dong shaking hands with some fans, last one was Wu Chun. I managed to touch his right arm (the one with the tattoo, but covered with his jacket HIKZ). Then they still waved when they entered the bus that took them to the tarmac.Hikz…bye bye Fei Lun Hai! Xi wang yi hou you ji hui neng cai kan ni men lou!!! It was a great experience, from day 1 to day 3. This is probably the 1st time I got really close to my ou xiang >__< (well there was Lee Wei, but still it was a different experience all together). Definitely come to Medan again in the future!!!

ps: i posted other pictures on my LJ only for my friends >__< *yeah a bit kiasu nowadays, since there are people out there are plain stupid*
